Baank & Tommy is a creative musical improvisation project of two parts; guitar and electronics by Baank, aka Bankjork, guitarist and composer of the band Beagle and sound manipulation and synthesis by Tommy Hanson, sonic artist and dub engineer of the groups Yaan and Srirajah Rockers. By combining modular synthesizers, live looping, and dub mixing with a blend of jazz, drone, sound collage and minimalism, the duo surrounds listeners with their ever-evolving soundscapes. From deeply meditative ambience to full-melt psychedelic trances, the duo takes listeners on a self-reflective journey through vast worlds of sound drenched in analog nostalgia and digital uncertainty.

Baank & Tommy started in 2017 when Kong, former bassist of the Thai rock band Goose and owner of Ku Bar on Phra Sumen Road, invited Baank to play guitar at the cocktail bar. Later, Tommy joined Baank and the two began to perform weekly ambient sets there each Sunday. The pair has now extended the Baank & Tommy project into the studio, and continues to experiment with live sets that feature a distinctly collaborative approach to performance and audio storytelling.
